Google API Limited Use Disclosure: Daily Podium's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the
Google API Services User Data Policy,
including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, Daily Podium only uses Health Connect (formerly Google Fit) data to provide the app's core fitness tracking, ranking, and analysis features described in this policy. We do not use this data for serving advertisements, and we do not allow humans to read this data unless (a) we first obtain your affirmative consent, (b) it is necessary for security purposes, (c) it is necessary to comply with applicable law, or (d) our use is limited to internal operations with aggregated and anonymized data.
JungleZip ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Daily Podium mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.
1. Information We Collect
- Fitness & Health Data: With your explicit consent, we access the following data from Apple Health (HealthKit) and Android Health Connect (formerly Google Fit):
- Step counts
- Running & walking distance
- Swimming laps & distance
- Exercise duration
- Heart rate
- Total calories burned
- Profile Data: Nickname and age (birth year) to categorize you into 5-year age group rankings.
- Location Data: City and regional information to provide local and national leaderboards.
- Device Information: Hardware model and operating system for technical support.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Leaderboard Rankings: To calculate and display your position on Global, National, and Local leaderboards, including age-group filtered rankings for fair competition.
- Workout Diary: To record and display your personal workout history so you can track your fitness progress over time.
- Visual Analysis: To generate detailed charts, statistics, and visual breakdowns of your fitness performance (e.g., distance trends, calorie summaries, heart rate zones).
- Anti-cheating: To verify the integrity and consistency of submitted workout data (e.g., cross-referencing heart rate and calorie data with reported exercise duration) in order to maintain fair competition on leaderboards.
- To monitor usage and detect technical issues.
- Limited Use: We do not use Health Connect or Apple HealthKit data for advertising, and we do not sell, transfer, or share this data with any third party for purposes unrelated to the core functionality of Daily Podium.
3. Data Storage & Security
Storage: Your personal data and fitness records are stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We retain fitness data only as long as your account remains active or as needed to maintain historical leaderboard records.
Security: We implement strict access controls to prevent unauthorized access. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, but we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data.
4. Data Sharing & Disclosure
- Leaderboard Visibility: Your workout scores and nickname are visible to other users on leaderboards.
- No Third-Party Sales: We do not sell or share your Google user data or health data with third-party advertisers or data brokers.
- Legal Requirements: We only disclose information to comply with legal obligations or protect our rights.
5. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have the right to:
- Access, update, or delete your information at any time.
- Withdraw consent for Health Connect or Apple HealthKit data syncing via your device settings.
- Account Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data via app settings or by contacting us.
